Louis Vuitton have released their latest ad for the Alma bag, starring Karlie Kloss, Daria Strokous, Jac Jagaciak, and Iris Strubegger on three different bridges in New York, Paris, and Shanghai. The bag was created in 1934 but it now has its very own (ultra slick) ad campaign shot by Steven Klein.
But WWD reports that according to market sources, Vuitton plans to wind down its core-value advertising. Those are the ads where stars shoot wistful glances out at the landscape next to LV luggage. It was the Louis Vuitton core values campaign that brought us Angelina reflecting on a wooden boat in Cambodia and Michael Phelps splashing in a bathtub and having tea with former Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina.

The series was launched in 2007 with Catherine Deneuve, Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, and Mikhail Gorbachev and all the portraits were shot by Annie Leibovitz. Classic Louis Vuitton luggage took the unlikey models everywhere from Berlin to the Bahamas to Buenos Aires.
The 'greatest' of the bunch had to be the campaign starring Muhammad Ali watching one of his grandsons who is wearing a pair of boxing gloves in his home in Arizona. Other Leibovitz/ LV campaigns feature Bono and his wife Ali Hewson in Africa, Sean Connery on the beach in the Bahamas and Sophia Coppola and her father in Buenos Aires. Keith Richards was photographed in his hotel room with a Louis Vuitton guitar case and the former President of the Soviet Union, and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Mikhail Gorbachev, was photographed in the back of a limo driving past the remaining part of the Berlin Wall.
But the LV future is likely to feature more New York skylines than Cambodian swamps, and more Karlie Kloss than Bono.
