Watch Lena Dunham Learn How To Pose Like Kate Moss With Hamish Bowles: VIDEO

We were all super excited when Lena Dunham's first Vogue cover landed last week. The editorial spread, which was shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz features the 27-year-old star trussed up in everything from a Prada embellished silk strapless dress to an Alexander McQueen high-collar feather dress. She also sports a Céline wrap coat and a Dolce & Gabbana cotton cap-sleeved dress, but every piece is accessorised with dollops of that edgy attitude.

Those of you left wondering how the awkward star and creator of hit HBO show Girls succeeded in getting her model on for her Vogue debut need trouble yourselves no further. Yesterday Lena introduced a "behind-the-scenes" video directed by her friends Henry Joost and Ariel Shulman, which premiered on the Vogue US website. The tongue in cheek promo portrays the cover girl the night before she steps in fron of the lens for Leibovitz.

Lena is seen applying lipstick and wearing a pair of silky pajamas before calling up Vogue's International Editor-at-Large Hamish Bowles for some advice. She says, "Can you talk right now. I'm feeling a little bit nervous about tomorrow. The cover shoot is tomorrow and I don't know how to pose." Luckily Bowles pops round and show Lena how it's done, using a little inspiration from some of the famous faces who have previously graced the pages of the fashion bible.

He tells her, "We're going to look back at the legends and we're going to find you a pose." Then the pair embark on a series of movements recreating images of supermodels including Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Giselle Bundchen, Edie Campbell and Veruschka von Lehndorff. Their efforts quickly become a dance, showing off Hamish's flair for the theatrical and Lena's unwillingness to take herself too seriously - despite being a Vogue cover star now, daaahling!
