For Lanvin's Autumn Winter 2014 campaign they have put a modern spin on their iconic mother-daughter logo, shooting Edie Campbell with her entire family. We're talking Mum, Dad, Grandad, boyfriend. Even her horse got in the shot.
Let's start with the Campbell ladies, shall we? Edie holds hands with her sister Olympia, grandma Joan and mother Sophie who all look jaw-droppingly glamorous in midnight blue silk. Shout out to her sister Olympia's sassy feathered hat.
Then we come to the suited gentleman. From left to right we have Olympia's boyfriend Matteo, Edie's older brother, Arthur Campbell, Edie's grandfather, Jeremy, Edie's boyfriend Otis Ferry and Roddy, Edie's father. Edie's brother has the mullet to end all mullets.
This family portrait was taken by celebrated photographer Tim Walker, with creative direction by House and Holme, Ronnie Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme. As if the print ads aren't enough, Lanvin have also released a 3.04 minute video of Edie's family larking about at a Lanvin townhouse. It's fabulously silly: Edie throws red roses, jives and rides her horse under the Lanvin threshold.
It was only a matter of time until Edie landed a campaign with her horse Dolly. She has been riding since she was 5 and won the Celebrity Ladies Race at Glorious Goodwood. Edie said to Vogue magazine: "She loves being photographed. She’s basically a model. She’s not very big; she’s quite little, which is nice as well. She’s the most perfect horse I’ve ever known."
The campaign is part of Lanvin's year-long 125th anniversary celebrations. In case you didn't know Lanvin's iconic logo - and the inspiration behind this campaign - is a silhouette of Jeanne Lanvin and her only daughter Marguerite Marie Blanche holding hands.
