'Jet Lag Can Be Tough To Adjust To, Especially For A Baby!' Kim Kardashian Talks Balancing Work With Being A Mum

03 July 2014 by

N'awww! Kim Kardashian's revealed how her life as changed since she became a mother to baby North West. The reality star, who married Kanye West in May, sat down with Julia Restoin Roitfeld's Romy And The Bunnies to chat about balancing her career with motherhood - and gushed about little North.

Kim gave birth back in June 2013 and celebrated North's first birthday with an extravagent party called 'Kidchella' earlier this month. Describing motherhood as the 'most rewarding feeling' she told the title that her favourite things to do with her little one are napping and snuggling.

'I really love every phase! Just the way my daughter laughs with me, all of the small things in life you appreciate!' she said.

It's not all been plain sailing though, Kim explained she found it hard to go back to work after giving birth and now makes an effort to prioritise the projects she really wants to do so that she can make time to hang out with her daughter.

'I took a hiatus after I had the baby, and found it challenging to start working again because I didn’t want to spend any time away, but you adjust and prioritize, and just figure it out!' she said.  'You become more selective and work on projects that are so meaningful because you want every other waking moment spent with your family. You have to remember though to make time for yourself.'

North has travelled around the world with Kim in recent months - even taking trips to Paris and Florence for #KimyeWedding. With so much experience of taking a baby on planes, she gave her advice to mothers who want to travel in the interview.

'Jet lag can be tough to adjust to, especially for a baby,' she said. 'I think its important to travel with the necessities to make sure your baby gets a nap on the flight, and whenever necessary!'
