'Fashion Police' host Kelly Osbourne last year hinted at a desire to launch her own clothing line. 12 months later and word's out that the recently engaged purple-haired diva is set to design a collection for all shapes and sizes. The (as Tyra would say) "fiercely real" Kelly confirmed the venture at Hollywood's BeautyCon L.A. Summit: "I had one of the most exciting meetings of my life this week - it pretty much green-lit my clothing line".
But the daughter of X Factor judge Sharon and rocker Ozzy has no plans to sit on the sidelines, adding that she has full creative control. "It still has to be very me - quirky," said Osbourne, who is well known for her IDGAF attitude and punk-rock style. "[But] that's me," she continued, "so I have to [also] have something slightly normal." Kelly, who has famously struggled with her weight in the past, is allegedly looking forward to designing clothes that will suit different body shapes and sizes. The former 'Dancing With The Stars' contestant shed 70 pounds since appearing on the show in 2009, but admits she still thinks of herself as a "FFP: Former Fat Person." Awww!
"I've always been really into fashion. It's just that my fashion choices at an early age were really odd and they still are. I have grown to understand, as much as I don't like it, that the fashion world doesn't really want to listen to what a little chubby girl has to say." Not true, Kels! We're looking forward to seeing what that creative mind of yours spawns. After all, it takes guts and style to make that hair colour look so darn elegant. Not to mention that the fashion world is most def moving away from that whole size zero thing. This year's New York Fashion Week, which kicked off TODAY, even has its first plus size designer on the schedule. Yup!
