The 2014 Brit Awards had all the ingredients to be the best Brits ever. Beyonce in sequins. Katy Perry doing a New Moon Party performance. One Direction. Just when we thought it couldn't get any better, the one and only Kate Moss accepted an award from Noel Gallagher on behalf of David Bowie. No, we're not joking. It's the stuff of dreams.
David Bowie is far 'too cool' (Gallagher's words, not ours) to turn up to the Brits to accept a best male award, so he did the coolest thing ever and sent Kate Moss instead. Gallagher said: 'You maniacs didn't think he was actually here? He doesn't do this s**t.' But he sent his 'representative on earth, Kate Moss.'
Kate Moss read the following (surreal) message: 'In Japanese myth the rabbits from my old costume which Kate is wearing live on the moon. Kate comes Venus and I from Mars. I'm completely delighted to have a Brit for being the Best Male but I am, aren't I Kate? I think it's a great way to end the day, thank you very, very much and Scotland, stay with us.' Kate Moss speaking about Scottish independance at the Brits? We told you it was surreal!
As if Kate Moss speaking wasn't enough, she rocked up in one of David Bowie's old playsuits, making this officially the coolest Brits ever. His 'representative on earth' wore one of Bowie's original Ziggy Stardust playsuits which he first wore at his 1972 Rainbow Concert.

The Bowie fan wore a costume which was donated from his exhibition at the V&A Museum - and it's been reported that it had to be reduced by a couple of inches to fit her perfectly. Of course this isn't the first time Moss has had a Bowie-over as she has transformed into David Bowie for TWO Vogue covers.
