We love Kate Moss and basically anything she puts her name to, we’re pretty much guaranteed to adore. So when we heard news that Mossy had designed a sushi box, our interest was duly piqued. According to the Paris based Sushi Shop chain, Moss is a big fan of Japanese cuisine, and to celebrate the opening of their first London outlet next month they commissioned the supermodel to create a sushi box. Holding 40 pieces, Moss has embellished her box with sequin patterns and metallic shades.
Kate Moss For Sushi Shop
Priced at 45 Euros, or £49.40, Kate’s special box will hit all Sushi Shop restaurants on 13th May. Packing some serious style punch for a box of sushi, Moss’ tie-in got us thinking about all the other unusual projects that Fashion Planet residents have launched over the years.
From kitchen and bathroom fixtures and fittings to Starbucks coffee cups, fashion folk have harnessed their creativity for a host of unexpected product launches. Take Giles Deacon’s statement washing machine for LG or Jason Wu’s super chic sink taps for Brizo. Another one of our favourites is Gareth Pugh's portable bar designed for the Grey Goose Winter Ball to benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation last year. And who doesn’t love both Missoni and Viktor & Rolf’s pram designs for Bugaboo - it’s never too early to introduce the little nippers to the world of fashion is it?
