Madonna turned 56 on Friday and while we were celebrating here at Grazia HQ with a trip down memory lane, the birthday girl was living it up in true A-list style. Thanks to the joys of Instagram, we know that her Madgesty threw a lavish 1920s-themed celebration in a private villa in Cannes and who was she partying with? None other than Kate Moss.

The 40-year-old supermodel joined the legendary singer and the pair were pictured cosying up together in minxy flapper outfits. The shot, taken by photographer Mert Alas, was regrammed by Madonna who brilliantly captioned it, 'Bow down Bitches!' Well, quite. While she wore a beaded black dress and matching headpiece that'd make Daisy Buchanan proud, Mossy opted for a sparkling black leotard, fishnet tights and a peaked hat.

The 'Holiday' star also shared a shot of partygoers posing in front of a giant 'M' and naked dancers wrapped in pink feather boas. She wrote: "House of M! House of Fun! La Vie en Rose! #unapologeticbirthdaybitch." She was also joined on Saturday night by her adorable kids Lourdes, Rocco, Mercy and David - who looked dapper in a black tuxedo - while DSQUARED2 designers Dean and Dan Caten pulled on their '20s finest. Ugh, why aren’t our birthday parties this fabulous?
