The folks over at Playboy have confirmed that Kate Moss will bare all for the 60th anniversary issue. Their January/ February edition also ties in nicely with Kate's 40th birthday as it hits newstands a month before her big day. Hugh Hefner said: ‘She’s a worldwide celebrity and iconic and crosses the boundaries from sexual imagery to upscale modelling. It’s a natural for us.’
Playboy's editorial director Jimmy Jellinek told the Los Angeles Times: ‘This is a massive global brand. You need a global icon in order to celebrate that — that was the impetus. You’re talking about the face of Burberry, the biggest supermodel in the world on the cover of Playboy. She’s the perfect partner for us to help launch the next 60 years.’ He added: 'This creates a heat for the brand globally. It started with Marilyn Monroe on the cover of Playboy 60 years ago, an icon for her time. Now we've got Kate Moss!'
The shoot was photographed by Mert & Marcus and Kate sports classic 'Playboy bunny' get up on her cover. We're talking velveteen bunny ears, French cuffs and silk stockings.

Rumours have been bubbling up for months that Kate Moss has posed for Playboy, but nothing has been confirmed by camp Kate or Heff. But now her hair guy, Oribe has confirmed to Refinery 29 that the shoot IS happening.
He confirmed that Kate has already shot her Playboy spread, which will run in January 2014 for the magazine's 60th anniversary issue. Kate recently celebrated her silver jubilee, marking 25 years in the business. She has shot over 300 covers in her career but she's never stripped off for Playboy. She's joining a list of high profile Playboy girls such as Lindsay Lohan, Sharon Stone, Kim Kardashian and Charlize Theron.
So if the rumours are true, will Kate go starkers on her cover? Well nothing has been revealed yet about the nature of the shoot, but Moss isn't afraid of stripping for the camera. Remember she was topless in those Calvin Klein ads and wore nothing but a deep tan for her St. Tropez Tan campaign. In fact we've lost count of the number of nude editorials she's shot over the past 25 years.
She certainly isn't afraid of a sexed-up cover as this year she starred in a 50-shades-tastic cover of V Magazine with good girl gone bad Rihanna. The pair got topless and draped across each other in barely-there lingerie. Make it rain.
We're guessing a Mossy anniversary Playboy cover would once again cause many red faces at the newstands come January. Until then check out Kate's 25 most iconic magazine covers to date in the gallery below...
