The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s tour of New Zealand and Australia is still in full swing and aside from a certain little prince (hello gorgeous George!) stealing the limelight from his glamorous mummy, from the moment Kate Middleton stepped off the plane in New Zealand all eyes were on what she was wearing.
As previously reported in Grazia, the Queen is said to have requested that Kate, 32, look more ‘regal’ on this tour with Prince William, 31. There was a dramatic and noticeable difference in her choices from the word go: hems were longer, the cuts more grown-up and the style far more formal than on previous tours.

Now, Grazia can exclusively reveal that Kate has indeed been having help with her wardrobe from a lady named Natasha Archer. Natasha, or ‘Tash’ as she is known, is part of Kate’s entourage on tour, and has previously been described as a Kensington Palace PA. But in the lead-up to the tour, Natasha has also been tasked with dresser duties which she will be carrying out while away with the duchess.
Natasha was pictured leaving the plane in Wellington last week, holding luggage and wearing a black spotty dress, alongside Kate’s hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, 50. According to sources she has been advising Kate on her wardrobe since last summer. ‘Natasha’s main role is as a PA, but over the last few months she has assisted Kate as a style adviser,’ said a source. ‘Natasha and Kate get on very well. She has always supported and advised Kate – and the duchess loves Natasha’s style, so it seemed like an obvious appointment. Natasha has been helping Kate pick outfits for the tour.’

You might also recognise Natasha (who has a degree in Hispanic Studies from King’s College London) from last July, when she was pictured arriving at the Lindo Wing with a dress bag and baby car seat the day after Prince George was born. ‘Natasha orders lots online for Kate,’ said a source. ‘There are always boxes from Asos and Topshop arriving at Kensington Palace addressed to Natasha. She has a good eye for high-street fashion as well as high end, so she has been integral to putting together Kate’s regal tour wardrobe.’
It has been reported that the Queen asked Kate not to wear high street on the three-week tour and had requested longer hemlines and more royal jewels than on Kate’s previous tours of South East Asia and the South Pacific, and North America. So far, Kate has worn items by Alexander McQueen, Jenny Packham, Tory Burch and Catherine Walker and is also expected to wear a gown by couture Australian designers Ralph & Russo.
‘With Natasha’s help, Kate has pulled together a fittingly regal wardrobe,’ added the source. ‘Apart from anything, it’s nice for Kate to have a friend on the tour whose opinion she trusts.’
