The Duchess of Cambridge attended the Queen's annual diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace last night, wearing a tiara for the first time since the royal wedding. Kate was in proper princess mode with her locks half up half down, framing the Lotus Flower tiara which originally belonged to the Queen Mother.
The delicate tiara features diamond arches and was made from the Queen Mother's wedding gifts, inlcuding pearls given by her husband, the future George VI. Garrad Jewelers disassembled the necklace and made it into the tiara, which was worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret.

Unfortunately we won't be able to see pictures from inside the event, but it has been confirmed that the Duchess wore another Alexander McQueen custom lace gown. From the neckline we can see that the gown is made of Cinderella blue exquisite eyelash lace.
Because a diamond tiara isn't quite enough sparkle, she also wore diamond chandelier earrings loaned to her by the Queen. Back in 2011, K Midz wore these to the BAFTA dinner in Hollywood on her North American Tour.
