We were rather disappointed when the Duchess of Cambridge was a no-show at the Winter Whites Gala this week, but we didn't have to wait too long for a K Midz style fix as she attended the SportsAid gala this evening.
Kate Middleton wore a black laser cut lace dress with a nude underslip, black bodice with a nipped in waist and elegant sleeves by her go-to label Temperley London. The 'Templeton' dress, which is inspired by Renaissance stained glass, was originally sold for £995 and was then marked down to £398. Bad news though copy Kates, it's now sold out.
In other Kate news, it looks to us like Kate has gone for a darker, richer shade of brunette and chopped off a few inches. Her signature blow dry is still firmly intact.
She paired her cocktail dress with classic black suede Jimmy Choos (£450) and a royal red Alexander McQueen clutch bag with a large bow on one side. Serious Kate fans might recognise this as the clutch she carried onto the Thames for the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
Kate arrived at the gala at the pop-up venue Supernova at Embankment Gardens without William who is reported to be at the palace on babysitting duties. The Duchess is a patron of the charity and as part of her duties is presenting the One-to-Watch Award this evening to an exceptional young British sportsman. It's bound to be a ball fit for a princess as it is sponsored by Tiffany & Co and Laurent-Perrier champagne.
