Now we all know the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton is thrifty, but wearing the same pair of jeans for more than three years?! Surely that runs deeper than mere pragmatism. We'll give you three guesses as to what they are. Don't need them? Yep, you're right. They are the J Brand 811, and K Mid has been spotted in them once again during the Royal Australia and New Zealand tour.
Despite buying the jeans more than three years ago from British denim retailer Trilogy, K Middy has worn her J Brands religiously ever since, for appearances all around the world and everything from boat races to Royal tours. She's not alone either. Like many of the label's fashionable fans including Jessica Alba, Kate Bosworth and Katie Holmes, the Duchess thinks the J Brand cut is the most flattering around.

So what is it about the 811? The cut has remained exclusive to Trilogy ever since Kate bought her pair from the store in 2011, and they are still one of Trilogy's best-selling styles. The denim store's owner and head buyer Lesley Torson says:
"Our 811 in navy twill is the perfect denim staple, and it happens to be particularly on trend this season... The soft twill fabric is flattering and super comfortable, and, as Kate demonstrates, they are a highly versatile style."
Move fast and snap up your own pair from Net-a-Porter. Extra points go to those who team them with a breton tee, navy jacket and blue corkscrew wedges. Dressing like royalty has never been so easy.
