Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge have just arrived in Scotland - or rather the Earl and Countess of Strathearn, as they're known in Scotland. They're paying a visit to the Strathearn Community Campus in Crieff on this fine Thursday morning and in true literal dressing style, Kate is wearing a red striped coat by Jonathan Saunders.
Of course, Mr Saunders hails from Scotland making it a fitting choice for the occasion. What's more, the Royal Arms of Scotland features a red lion and she co-ordinates perfectly with the school's pupils (below). Yep, it's another political winner from our K-Middy.
The Duchess Countess has topped off the look with those all-too-familiar LK Bennett heels, a matching nude clutch and a pair of Classic Citrine Pear Drop Earrings by Kiki McDonough which are available here for £495. The Athena Wool Jacquard Coat In Red Stripe comes from the designer's Autumn Winter 2014 collection and is available on modaoperandi.com for $2555 (approximatley 1529).
Underneath the coat, Kate is wearing Goat's Thea dress from the Spring Summer 2014 collection, which costs £420 and is available on www.goatfashion.com. The wool pencil dress is described on the website as 'cut to fit and flatter' with front pockets, a flared angle sleeve and concealed centre back zip. It's is also available in Dark Navy wool crepe. Go, go, go!
This isn't the first time Kate has worn an ensemble by London Fashion Week favourite Jonathan Saunders. Back in September 2012, she went tropical for a trip to the exotic Soloman Islands in a dress by the Scottish-born designer. And just last month, during her tour of Australia, the brunette beauty wore a Jonathan Saunders cream knit with skinny jeans and pumps to attend a Rippa Rugby tournament at Forsyth Barr Stadium. It's unsurprising she's a fan Britain's great fashion star given that his simple but sexy dresses have already been adopted by those in a similar official position as Kate, such as Samantha Cameron and Michelle Obama.
