The Duchess of Cambridge in Scottish blue Stella McCartney [Rex]
The Duchess of Cambridge and her cork wedges were back at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow this afternoon, watching the athletics with her leading men William and Harry. She has returned to another old favourite outfit sporting ensemble - her blue Stella McCartney simple shift.
This time around she paired the frock with her cork navy Stuart Weitzman wedges, her trusty Smythe one button navy blazer and Asprey woodland pendant. Oh and her signature bouncy blow dry, of course. The literal dresser always dresses to match the occassion, so it's hardly a huge shocker that she opted for Scottish blue while in Glasgow.
Kate fans may remember that she first wore this £515 Stella shift to an event at the National Portrait Gallery and then repeated it a few weeks later at the London 2012 Olympics. She's already tested that it's a mexican wave friendly frock. K Middy also re-wore this dress earlier this year on her royal tour, when she touched down in Sydney.
The young royals joined in the fun and games with a visit to the athletes' village. William played video games with some of the womens' hockey team, while Kate took part in the traditional 'three tins' game which required her to jump over stacked tins. Forget Nikes, Kate did the whole thing in her Weitzman wedges. No easy feat!
