We got a glimpse of her sparkling in a burgundy frock and caught her reading the latest issue of Grazia, but now we can reveal the lady behind Topshop's Christmas campaign is... KATE BOSWORTH!
The actress-slash-stylista is the star of the high-street brand's interactive digital campaign movie, which sees her actually SINGING. Yep, K-Bos has another string to add to that impressive bow of hers.
In Lana Del Rey for H&M stylee, Kate dreamily performs classic Christmassy track ‘Winter Wonderland’ while wearing that glitzy Topshop evening dress we saw in the teasers. Oh, and did we mention Kate had a hand in designing that too?
But it wasn't just the persuasive powers of Topshop that coaxed Kate to work her singing chops. The cinematic campaign is directed by film director Michael Polish - aka: Mr Bosworth. According to Toppers, the shoot was inspired by that famous piano scene in The Fabulous Baker Boys, making Kate a modern Michelle Pffeifer. She sure is sultry!
'This project brings together two important aspects of my life: cinema and fashion,' says the blonde beauty. 'I have always been a fan of the Topshop brand and it has been an honour to work with Sir Phillip and the team. I hope everyone enjoys watching it as much as we did making it.' Considering the film has arrived in conjunction with the new Topshop store opening in LA in February 2013, we'd say it's a mighty fine fit.
Kate Phelan, Topshop's Creative Director had this to say: 'I think Kate looks effortlessly cool in this film, her voice is spellbinding and I can imagine every girl will want to be wearing Topshop this Christmas when they see her performance.'
And she's not wrong. If you want to make like Kate (and if you don't, what's wrong with you?!) her vampy dress and sparkly shoes will be available as a special made to order on topshop.com while the make-up used in the film will be available to order, like, now.
But wait, there's more! Forget another cheesy X Factor cover bagging the Christmas #1 spot and instead imagine our Bosworth topping the charts. Oh yes, Topshop are aiming for a Top 40 song with Kate's rendition and you can help them on their way by downloading the track on i-tunes. If you do, you'll also be able to download previous movies starring Kate Bosworth, The Fabulous Baker Boys AND films directed by Michael Polish too.
It's like all our Christmases have come at once. Watch Bosworth for Topshop in the video below...
