Karl Lagerfeld's Mini Toki Doki Doll Takes Over London

20 March 2014 by

Karl’s plastic mini-me is at his touristic antics again (remember his world tour back in July? He even dropped by Grazia HQ!), scaling the heady heights of London’s trademark sights (sort-of). The latest incarnation of his special tokidoki doll has been papped all around our fair city and no doubt in celebration of the maestro’s new store opening on Regent Street just last week. The be-studded goodies (watches, bags and fingerless gloves – oh my!) that lined the new retail space were joined by these little plastic Lagerfelds.

Previous designs of these little dolls – the brain child of Italian artist Simone Legno – featured the white haired designer clutching little Choupettes (his precious cat who, as you will know, has her own private jet). Lady Gaga instagrammed herself (back in those mermaid days) with the little man back in the days of his first tour.

Karl's newest tokidoki (tokidoki meaning ‘sometimes’ in Japanese) is available for £130 at Net-a-Porter and seeing as the man himself is now an offical London resident (and that Union Jack tie says it all), we think the little mascot deserves a spot on the desks at Grazia towers too. Welcome to the UK Karl!
