Karl Lagerfeld Gets The London Look! The Designer Opens Flagship Store This Week

11 March 2014 by

Back in November we brought you the news that Karl Lagerfeld is moving to London, well kind of, as he is opening a store on Regent Street this week. It will be a whizzy superstore, as there will even be iPads where you can leave personal notes for Karl. To celebrate his UK takeover Karl has created a collection of Brit inspired pieces, including a London sweatshirt,  ‘Mr UK’ Tokidoki and Union Jack inspired wallet.

Sound the fashion klaxon: Karl Lagerfeld is moving to London! Well, kind of, as in March the designer is opening his European flagship on Regent Street. Karl will have some stylish neighbours, as the 2,700 square-foot flagship will stand next to J.Crew, Burberry and Jaeger.

So what can we expect from Karl's new home? Well we do know the store will carry KL ready-to-wear, eyewear, watches, shoes and limited edition goodies. As you would expect the decor will be strictly black and white - of course his silver ponytail will feature heavily. Perhaps the doors will be guarded by Choupette statues? A floor to ceiling bookshelf like in his Paris apartment? Mini Karl dolls at every turn?

The shelves will be fitted with snazzy iPad minis, so you can watch videos and look at the latest collection online. Plus you can leave a personal message for Mr Lagerfeld via a digital guest book.

Karl is obviously a secret selfie fan, as there will be photo booths in the changing rooms where you can take pictures and apply filters inspired by Karl Lagerfeld. Get ready to see the likes of Rita Ora and Poppy Delevingne Instagramming their Karl selfies.

Keep your paws crossed Choupette will make an appearance at the grand opening!
