Julien Macdonald has praised Kate Middleton’s maternity style and says that pregnancy has made the Duchess sexier than ever.
Speaking exclusively to Grazia Daily at the launch of his new swimwear line with ‘Ferrari of bikini labels’, Melissa Odabash, Welsh fashion designer Macdonald explained, “Kate Middleton has an effortless style. I love how short her dresses are now she’s pregnant. It’s not something you normally see on pregnant women and it’s bound to start a new maternity trend. Those dresses are actually very short, shorter than she ever wears usually. That’s been her trick, and it’s working – pregnancy has made her sexier.”

But the outspoken designer, who sent his models down the rooftop catwalk for the Ibiza beach party-inspired launch was less impressed with Madonna's style, attacking the singer for her ‘insensitive’ use of guns and adding that as a mum she needs to 'think about doing other things'.

The Queen of Pop has defended using weapons in her MDNA tour, and a new video trailer shows the iconic performer pointing a gun at a man’s head. “Madonna likes to create controversy,” continued Macdonald, “and sometimes what she creates is great, and sometimes it's not so great,” he said talking backstage at London’s swanky ME hotel.

“She should be more sensitive to other people's feelings. Especially with children being killed in school shootings in America - it's insensitive. Parents taking their children to her concerts don't want to see guns. The world's trying to move away from that. She’s a woman of a certain age, she has kids, she needs to think about doing other things.”
