Julia Restoin Roitfeld in Givenchy's eyewear campaign

Julia Restoin Roitfeld continues her Givenchy love-in for Autumn/Winter 2013 by adding the eyewear campaign to her portfolio. In Riccardo Tisci’s mainline campaign, which was unveiled in May, Julia features alongside her fashion powerhouse maman, Madame Carine. But for the eyewear collection she has new modelling pals in the form of Quim Guiterrez and Dalianah Arekion.

"The story goes on: on the set and outside the set with my family, Mert & Marcus, Luigi, Lucia, Carine, Katy... These people are my family. They have always believed in me. They are very faithful to me. Faithfulness and love are the most amazing things in what I want to do. I think it is a moment of history for me in fashion for my own gang.” Explains Riccardo of the team both in front of and behind the camera. When you consider the heartwarming and heartfelt collection he presented for the new season  (it was a celebration of women – with gypsies and romantic Victoriana playing as key influences) his vision for now and the future starts to come together. Tisci muses: “All of them, including the models, are real gypsies in their own life. They are never in one place. They travel the world. It is a real relationship, not only physically, but also with a content even when far away...”

Julia models the ‘Antigona’ new optical style with Swarovski crystal detailing, but there are also frames on offer in classic black or red and with the Givenchy signature optical print. Which to choose? We’re eyeing up the lot!
