In this week's issue of Grazia we have exclusively revealed that J. Crew - our favourite Stateside stop for wardrobe staples - will be popping up in King's Cross on 24th and 24th May, providing a taster for the flagship opening on Regent Street later this year. In celebration of J.Crew's first UK outpost we dug out this interview with the brand's creative director Jenna Lyons.
We managed to get a few words with the super stylish creative head of when we attended the Autumnn Winter 2013 presentation during New York Fashion Week last February. So how does she feel about the move and what's ehr take on British style?

"My father is British and I spent all my summers in Surrey and London so for me there is a sense of coming home. I love that all my cousins will be able to just pass by and see what I'm doing!"
So how dies Lyons view British style? "I mean I like style wherever it comes from - I definitely have no geographical prejudice! It's like the collection you see here- it's all about pieces and yes we've styled it this way but that's only one way to wear it. I love personal style and think real style is all about the way you put you own stamp on your look."
Today's presentation most certainly delivered a collection of pieces which could oh so easily slip into your wardrobe. From embellished tees, statement knits, trophy jackets and striking yet wearable outerwear, J.Crew offers a stylish upgrade to pieces you already feel comfortable wearing.
While not blind to trends - those oversized coats are shaping up to be key for the winter season Lyons' look is timeless. Neon, crystal embellishment and gorgeous embroidery add a special spin to classics. The coats were the real winners this season. Stand out pieces included a jewel encrusted camel double breasted style, a tapestry embroidered number and a poppy mosaic tiled single breasted piece.
This is the first collection that we'll be able to browse instore in London - and by the looks of it, you'd better make it down for opening day because these beauties will be flying off the shelves tout suite. Don't say we didn't warn you!
