'It’s Blasphemous!' Kanye West Furious With Fashion Designer's Demands

As Taylor Swift will testify, you don't want to get on the wrong side of Kanye West. The rapper has revealed he was seriously snubbed by a fashion designer and was so miffed, he penned a defiant song called, err, 'I Am a God'.

The story goes that a few days before Paris Fashion Week last September, the rapper was invited to a top-notch catwalk show - hooray! - but it was on one condition: he could not attend any other shows. Uh oh. This does not make Kanye happy so what does angry Kanye do?

“I went to the studio with Daft Punk, and I wrote ‘I Am a God,’?” the not-so-modest star reveals in a new profile with W Magazine. “Cause it’s like, Yo! Nobody can tell me where I can and can’t go. Man, I’m the No. 1 living and breathing rock star. I am Axl Rose; I am Jim Morrison; I am Jimi Hendrix.” Umm, we didn't know Axl Rose is dead? But wait, there's more.

“You can’t say that you love music and then say that Kanye West can’t come to your show!” he continues. “To even think they could tell me where I could and couldn’t go is just ludicrous. It’s blasphemous—to rock ’n’ roll, and to music.”

Although the designer remains unnamed, Kanye reiterates that he was “just very hurt” by the attempt to control him. “How can someone stop my opportunity to see something that he can teach me, that I can help teach the world?” he asks. Yep, nothing stops Monsieur West from attending fashion shows.

Kanye West's second collection hits PFW

As for Kanye's own design attempts, he deems his first collection better than the second. “It was more artful”, he says of his debut show. “It was 30 collections in one. It just takes time for me to slow down and think like a normal person.” It didn't work as well as he'd hoped because “I tried to come out of the gate going crazy”. He's now decided to stop showing at Paris Fashion Week.

So what's next (besides being Kim Kardashian's baby daddy, obvs)? “I have to somehow put out something that says, ‘I look sensible!’?” That sensible something is set to be a new men’s capsule collection of jeans, T-shirts and hoodies for a hip French brand that will be unveiled in July. We're intrigued, KW - and a little bit scared.
