When social media entrepreneur and tech millionaire, Sean Parker married singer-songwriter Alexandra Lenas in what Vanity Fair described as a ‘lavish’ ceremony in Big Sur earlier this summer – they didn’t use the word lightly.

Taking place in a stage-managed ‘enchanted forest’ inspired by a combination of Lord of the Rings and Game Of Thrones, some of the highlights included...

1. Enchanted stone bridges and pathways in the forest

2. Fur-pelt-strewn beds in the lounge area

3. Leather-bound keepsake volume for guests to take away

4. A pen of live bunnies for guests to cuddle

5. Individual maiden and Hobbit-esque garms made for for all 364 guests by Lord of the Rings costume designer Ngila Dickson

6. An a capella serenade to the bride and groom by Sting, in person

7. A six tier, nine-foot-tall wedding cake

8. Estimated $10 million dollar price tag

So what do you make of it all?

Emma Wood (Sun Aug 04 12:14:33 BST 2013): You only live once. Good luck to them. It is such a shame when we expect wealthy people to behave as if they are poor. When they spend their money, it supports our industries and creates work.
Corrinn Elford (Sun Aug 04 13:07:47 BST 2013): Wow! How beautiful.
Lang Lequang (Mon Aug 05 06:17:15 BST 2013): It is so beautiful and the setting is like a dream! Both have tons of money and they should at least have a wedding of their lifetime to treasure it! Whatever makes you happy, go for it and never regret it.
Fiona Rhys (Mon Aug 05 15:04:50 BST 2013): I give it a year!
Nadia Elgrably (Thu Nov 21 20:18:57 GMT 2013): love it all, really brilliant
