Instagram Pics Of The Day: One Direction Dress Up For New Video And Nicole Richie And Joel Madden Continue Their European Holiday

18 July 2013 by

We've got high hopes for One Direction's new single, not least because it's titled 'Best Song Ever'. The boys and their crackerjack marketing team have been slowly drip-feeding fans teasers from the upcoming video over the past week, including stills showing the band members in fancy dress. It's not due for official release until Monday but already we have seen three of the characters from the promo played by Harry Styles, Liam Payne and Niall Horan.

While Liam is still fairly recognisable as a choreographer called Leeroy complete with blonde wig and pink headband, Harry and Niall have undergone dramatic transformations. It will be interesting to see what Harry's adoring followers will think of his geeky makeover, as the heartthrob singer has ditched his trademark curly brown locks in favour of slicked back hair, a sweater vest and glasses. The band tweeted a picture of Hazza in action on set along with the caption: "Who's this clever-looking guy...? Make sure you're back at 6pm for #BestSongEverTrailer3…" Despite Harry's new look, it was his bandmate Niall who had to endure the rubber prosthetics in order to play a Sir Alan Sugar lookalike business man about 40 years his senior - let's just hope the receding hairline was just part of the costume! Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson’s characters have yet to be revealed - but surely nothing can top Harry as a nerd.

Meanwhile Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are still sailing around Italy on their very own love boat. The couple are enjoying a family holiday with daughters Harlow and Sparrow and making us all feel rather jealous quite frankly.

Look away Rita Ora who revealed how much she's missing her own boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris, by posting a photo of herself with him on Instagram.
