Niall Horan is steadily becoming our favourite member of One Direction (sorry Harry!). It all started when he tried to show Grazia's Polly Vernon his nipples as she interviewed the band at their fragrance launch earlier this year and his latest Instagram escapades only serve to consolidate our feelings. The Irish boy wonder (or rather his 1D marketing team) has posted a video on the social media platform of 'MC Nialler' - Niall's rapper alter-ego - performing Coolio's '90s classic 'Gangsta's Paradise'. Released in 1995, when Horan would have been just two years old, the track first appeared on the soundtrack to the Michelle Pfeiffer film 'Dangerous Minds' with the actress appearing alongside Coolio in the video. It reached number 1 here in the UK.
Horan's rendition of the single could see it gaining popularity again among Directioners who were probably too young the first time round. In the clip Niall raps along to the intro of the song, 'As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I take a look at my life and realize there's nothin' left', and he doesn't do too badly for a guy who usually belts out melodic pop songs. Wearing dark sunglasses and his t-shirt draped over his shoulders, the 20-year-old has some accompaniment from his less accomplished MC bandmate Liam Payne - and there's even a cameo from Mr Styles who can be seen briefly walking between Niall and Liam without acknowledging their efforts.
Could this be the start of a new career for Niall? We'd say not, but he does joke at the end of the video, "Yo, MC Nialler in the mix. Big up! New album coming soon." The video has of course gone viral - like anything that One Direction spit out - with 456k likes on Instagram and over 53k retweets and 64k favourites when Niall tweeted, "Anyone see my unbelieve rappin on one direction instagram?".
Meanwhile Cara Delevingne continues to post photos from her time in Rio where she's been shooting for Vogue Brazil and partying with fashion brand Bo.Bô. The supermodel shared a photo of her amazing Jeremy Scott gorilla trainers as well as a picture from the event she attended in her honour hosted by Bo.Bô and Vogue Brazil along with some of the other guests.
And finally Gwen Stefani has thanked followers for her birthday tweets with a flashback photo of herself and the message, "Thank u for all your bday love??had a great day xx".
