Instagram Pics Of The Day: Fearne Cotton's Pink Hair, Alexa Chung's 'It' Style Book And Kelly And Ozzy Osbourne's Matching Manicures

It may not be her first time, but Fearne Cotton really seems to be enjoying her latest encounter with the pink hair crew. The DJ and designer previously experimented with punky pink locks back in 2011 when she dyed her hair bubble-gum hues on two different occasions. This time the mum of one has opted for a more sophisticated take on the trend which has been sported by the likes of Helen Mirren, Katy Perry, Dakota Fanning and her Radio 1 colleague Nick Grimshaw who took the pink plunge earlier this year to raise money for Comic Relief. Fearne’s new ‘Candy Floss’ tresses are the work of celebrity stylist Lyndell Mansfield who claims she made the star’s hair pink for her holidays. Let’s just hope the 31-year-old takes heed when faced with a dip in a chlorinated swimming pool.

Meanwhile Alexa Chung has revealed a first copy of her forthcoming style bible, ‘It’. The book doesn’t hit the shelves until September 5th, but Chung has shared a page from the book with her Instagram followers and hashtaged the title, which pokes fun at her It-girl status. Amazon describes the book as a collection of Alexa's writings, drawings and photographs and this snap reveals a personal photobooth moment between the presenter and her good friend Tennessee Thomas, as well as a sketched self-portrait with the words ‘F**k you’ written above it. Charming!

And finally, is matching your nails to a parent’s the latest manicure trend? Kelly Osbourne unveiled her latest nail art design which is very similar to one sported by her father Ozzy. While Ozzy went for black with a gold cross to match his watch and skull ring, Kelly has opted for gold sparkles with a cross embellishment on her middle finger. Dads are just brilliant for beauty advice aren’t they?
