The Duchess of Cambridge made a rare public appearance yesterday since announcing her pregnancy in December last year. Kate paid a visit to the Prince's Trust- funded venue in Grimsby to meet with young people who have turned their lives around with the help of the charity. And while she didn't put a foot wrong where her outfit was concerned - recycling a burgundy Hobbs coat for the occasion - she may have inadvertently slipped up by revealing the gender of her unborn child to the crowd.

The mistake was made when a well wisher passed the DoC a child's teddy bear and Kate responded by saying 'Oh is this for our d...' before quickly trailing off. When the woman questioned her as to what she was about to say she explained 'No, we don’t know!' before adding 'We’re not telling!” Whether the couple don't know or are just not telling, St James’s Palace is keeping stum on the matter, but the confusion Kate has caused has got us all excited about the possibility of a royal daughter.
