Kim, Kim, Kim. There we were thinking that having announced her pregnancy, Ms Kardashian might be toning down her crazy outfits. But oh no, her wardrobe appears to be more risqué than ever. Take this blue be-jewelled Julien Macdonald dress that she wore to dinner in Miami this weekend, for example. It’s boob-tastic (yes, we did just say that word).
Grazia Daily had high hopes for Kim’s pregnancy gear - especially given that her ‘baby daddy’ (we’re trying to use their terminology here) is Kanye West. The rapper-slash-designer is somewhat of a fashion officiando and has previously given Kim his fashion advice, instructing her to clear out ‘everything’ in her wardrobe during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. And over the following months, Kanye’s influence was clear to see with the star regularly rocking some seriously chic monochrome looks from the likes of Balenciaga and Givenchy.
Since Kimye announced they were expecting their first child, however, Kim has been flaunted her man's advice. As well as this blue number, she’s been seen in a black bra-revealing blouse for the Cowboys Casino Iced event in Calgary (nah, us neither) and who could forget THAT New Year's Eve dress from Julien Macdonald that was made entirely out of lace?
Lest we forget Kim isn’t the only pregnant lady we’ll be watching in 2013. Enter Kate Middleton. With baby bumps growing simultaneously, it's inevitable that Kate and Kim’s maternity styles will be compared. Maybe the two could swap tips?
But despite not having been out much since announcing her pregnancy due to extreme morning sickness, insiders have recently suggested that Kate will remain as demure as ever throughout her pregnancy, not wanting to create a tabloid storm with her chosen outfits.
Indeed, when the Duchess did step out at The Sports Personality of The Year awards in December, she wore a long elegant gown courtesy of Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen (natch) and it’s thought that Burton will be creating more pregnancy-friendly outfits in the coming months.
The question is: whose pregnancy side do you prefer?
