The stars are getting seriously into Halloween this year, as we have spotted nearly 100 spectacular costumes. So who wins the award for the best costume? Well we have some serious contenders: Heidi Klum played an old lady, Rihanna painted herself grey, Kelly Osbourne got drenched in blood and Kate Moss played dead.
We'll be keeping a close eye on the stars' Halloween costumes this year and keeping a tally of how many Miley Cyrus doubles we spot on Instagram. So far Paris Hilton is out and about twerk and tweeting, as she posted a picture of herself in a bear costume like Miley's VMA number with her hair in knots. But the best Miley so far has to be Joan Rivers who put on a fat suit and an extended tongue to do a Miley.
Meanwhile Miley Cyrus has turned the table on her impersonators by doing some impersonating of her own. The singer donned a purple wig and one shoulder jumpsuit to recreate rapper Lil' Kim's 1999 VMAs ensemble, complete with nipple pastie. Considering the attention Miley received after her own VMAs performance this year, perhaps the costume was a nod to the fact that she's not the first star to court controversy. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Lil' Kim was indeed very flattered as she tweeted, ‘Yasssssss my baby!!!!’ 20-year-old Cyrus was just 7 when Lil' Kim showcased the look on the VMA red carpet in 1999, but it obviously made quite an impact on the star.

Alexa Chung dressed up as a hamburglar this Halloween, in a cheeseburger costume over black and white stripey leggings with a black robbers mask. Genius! She partied with Harley Viera Newton the hot dog and Fiona Byrne the McDonalds drive-thru girl. Our favourite hashtag of the season so far goes to Harley for Happy Halloweenie. Very punny.
This year Kelly Osbourne is the queen of Halloween, as she put on pink pearl-encrusted glasses and a giant purple wig to dress up as Dame Edna. But that's not all; she also wore three bras, a red wig and a body hugging Christian Siriano gown to transform into Christina Hendricks at the Emmys for the E! Fashion Police Halloween Special. For the episode Giuliana did Sofia Vergara at the Emmys and George wore a floral gown and green eyeshadow to be Lena Dunham at the Emmys.
