How Much?! Alessandra Ambrosio's $2.5 Million Victoria's Secret Bra Is Coming To London

22 January 2013 by

Update January 22nd 2013: We're excited to hear that the 'Fantasy Bra' which was custom made for Angel Alessandra Ambrosio to wear at last year's Victoria's Secret runway show is coming to London this month. That's right; those that want to feast their beady eyes on the $2.5 million bra can head to New Bond Street where it will be showcased in the brand's store for all to see. This is the first time the 'Fantasy Bra', which is adorned with over 5200 precious gems has hit the UK. It's not the most expensive lingerie that VS has ever produced though, that title goes to the $15million 'Ruby Fantasy Bra' as seen on supermodel Gisele Bündchen in 2000.

November 2012: If you're more used to buying your undies in the M&S sale than a luxury boutique then the price tag on Alessandra Ambrosio's bejewelled floral bra is enough to make you fall off your chair. The Brazilian brunette is the lucky Angel chosen to model the luxury Victoria's Secret bra in this year's runway show and she better be careful she doesn’t pop out of that thing as it costs a cool $2.5 Million. No pressure!

Alessandra's Fantasy Floral bra was created by London Jewelers and features hand-set amethysts, sapphires, rubies and diamonds and a removable 20 carat white diamond. It comes with a matching belt encrusted with over 5,200 gems, which brings new meaning to the word 'bling'. The model was pregnant during last year's show so we're mighty impressed that she's back to work and has bagged the biggest job in the Victoria's Secret calendar.

Ms Ambrosio follows in the footsteps of fellow Angels Gisele, Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima who have previously modelled the Fantasy bra. Shockingly the Fantasy Floral is far from the most expensive Victoria's Secret bra ever made. Tyra Banks' 1997 Diamond Dream Fantasy Bra cost $3 Million while Heidi Klum's 1999 Millennium Bra would have set you back $10 Million. Talk about precious jewels.
