We're used to seeing her trussed up in super-tight frocks with lashings of lipgloss and blonde hair extensions, but Abby Clancy has been transformed by Hasan Hejazi for his Autumn Winter 2013 campaign. The designer, who's previously teamed up with Marina and The Diamonds, set his sights on the model and TV star to showcase his latest collection, stripping her of all WAG signatures.
The London College of Fashion graduate already has a firm celebrity following including the likes of Kylie Minogue, Jessie J, Leona Lewis, Nicola Roberts and even designed an outfit for Cheryl Cole’s A Million Lights tour. Now, Hejazi unleashes a sci-fi inspired editorial story shot by Absynth Photographic with an accompanying fashion film by Gabriel Gettman. It's seriously fierce.
And that's no surprise considering the shoot was inspired by powerful female icons, from Madonna to Margaret Thatcher. The collection takes power dressing to an elegantly futuristic new level, combining grown-up necklines, masculine tuxedo collars and sharp silhouttes with Abbey, aka: Peter Crouch's wife, showcasing the creations with some high-fashion poses Tyra Banks would be proud of.
"Abbey embodies the Hasan Hejazi girl perfectly," Hejazi exclusively tells Grazia Daily. "She is an absolute delight and complete professional to work with and would hope to continue our relationship in the future. I love the gun, girly, cheeky element that she brings to fashion." Abbey Clancy first emerged onto the scene when she appeared on 'Britain's Next Top Model' in 2004. She has since modelled for a number of top-notch designers - Giles Deacon is her BFF after all - and has been championed by Katie Grand who's featured her blonde beauty in LOVE Magazine. Yep, there's more to this one than WAG glam.
