Harvey Weinstein may be the biggest name in Hollywood, and yes his films are rather good, but what he's really good at is throwing parties. Case in point his little pre-Bafta soirée last night at Little House in Mayfair. Fuelled by the most delicious of Grey Goose cocktails (the Martini de la mere was particularly lethal) the movie and fashion elite collided in the most spectacular firm.
Burberry were also co-hosting the bash (we all got a lovely scarf to take home) so Ms Suki Waterhouse and Ms Cara Delevingne were decked out in the label in matching suits. "They're not actually the same suit, but yes we do look v similar, we didn't realise we'd be wearing the same!" Suki told us shortly after posing for a photo in which she unbuttoned Cara's shirt teasingly, but almost revealed too much! (Nipple alert!) Both models are trying to break out into acting so were super-schmoozing Mr Weinstein who in turn was demanding they both meet his fashion designer wife, Georgina Chapman. "You girls need to be wearing Marchesa!" He boomed. Notable in his absence on Valentine's night was Suki's A-list boyfriend Mr Bradley Cooper, "No he's not coming tonight," she told us, but would not be drawn on where he was. Hmmm.
Douglas Booth told us all about his new film Noah, (apt in this weather) but got terribly coy about comparisons to looking like Brad Pitt "I don't know about that, maybe it's just the hair," he said. Nick Grimshaw (in some very fetching brown floral Gucci trousers) told us he'd always fancied his hand at photography before snatching Grazia party columnist Dave Benett's camera and snapping him posing with Cara. And this was shortly before Cara ended up in a heap on the floor with Uma Thurman. Yes really. Not quite sure why Uma was on the floor by the bar, but suddenly she grabbed Cara and dragged her down to join her. Then they both started singing. See Hollywood and fashion elite colliding in spectacular form. Bring on the Baftas.
What we ate: yummy three course dinner of quinoa, beetroot and blue cheese salad, followed by rare fillet of beef and mini lemon meringue pies.
What we drank: too many Grey Goose Le Fizz cocktails.
