Harley Viera Newton might have a New York postcode, but she regularly makes her way through Heathrow. She visits at least twice a year thanks to London Fashion Week and counts many 'it Brits' as her BFFs including Alexa Chung and Poppy Delevingne. Harley spent the day with River Island to explore her favourite London spots and give her styling tips for the Christmas season. We caught up with the Dj and style queen to find out how to do the party season the Harley Viera Newton way...*
*** Grazia Daily: Which are your favourite places to eat in London?*
"The Wolseley, Duke of Wellington Pub in Marylebone, Royal China for dim sum, The Golden Hind for fish and chips, The Cow for oysters and a drink, and Cafe Caldesi for pasta.
Grazia Daily: Where do you like to go shopping in London?
"Portobello Market, Selfridges, Liberty, Matches, Conran Shop, and all the great high street stores - Topshop, COS and River Island."
Grazia Daily: You have 24 hours in London – what would you do?
"I'd start the day with a full english breakfast at the cafe by my brother's flat, followed by a walk through Regents Park/Primrose hill or a visit to the British Museum. For the afternoon I'd do a bit of shopping at Liberty's then tea at the Wolseley with friends... then probably some more shopping at Selfridges. And I love a cosy dinner and drink at a good pub!"

Grazia Daily: Have your London pals given you any great tips of places to go?
"I have a lot of family in London so I always ask them for tips on new great restaurants or shops. My brother took me to Dinings for sushi which I absolutely loved!"
Grazia Daily: On Christmas Day do you dress up? Or keep it casual?
"I think last year I spent 90% of it in pajamas."

** Grazia Daily:** What do you think are the best looks for christmas parties this year?
"You can't go bad with a cosy sweater - I'm a fan of a good ugly Christmas sweater."
Grazia Daily: What party essentials do you think everyone should have in their wardrobe?
"A great black dress and a great black skirt! You'll wear them forever. And the perfect simple and comfortable heel that goes with everything."
Grazia Daily: If you have a big event do you plan your look far in advance - How do you plan your outfits?
"If I'm lucky enough to borrow an outfit I'll go in for a fitting and pick something ahead of time, but if not I'm pretty last minute and will pick something that same evening."
Grazia Daily: What takes up the most space in your wardrobe?
"Vintage dresses."
Grazia Daily: What is on your Christmas list this year?
"Pillows for my sofa (boring, but necessary) and anything cashmere and warm for the freezing winter ahead in NYC!"
Grazia Daily: What do you like to give as presents? Where do you do your Christmas shopping?
"I like to give really personal gifts at Christmas, so the gift depends on who it's for. But I do most of my shopping at antique shops."
What's your favourite present you've ever received?
"My boyfriend gave me my cat Tarzan for christmas last year - no one can beat that!"
