7 Tips For The Best Halloween Costume Courtesy Of THE Expert, Heidi Klum

It's that time of year guys! Are you ready to start pulling out old clothes, cutting bits up and crafting till your fingers bleed to make the bestest Halloween costume the world has ever seen? Yea, it does seem like a lot of work, doesn't it? We'll probably just pull on some black leggings and stick a pair of cat ears on our head like we did last year. And the year before. And the year before that.

One person that does take Halloween seriously, though, is one Heidi Klum. You'll never catch the supermodel in a hastily pulled-together number come the 31st. The model is famous for her outlandish fancy dress outfits which have ranged from Betty Boop to Transformers. She's also got the art of the couples costume down. Who could forget THOSE crow costumes her and ex-husband Seal rocked in 2010? (FYI - that was THREE WEEKS after Heidi gave birth to her daughter Lou, so if you're thinking of blaming the kids for a half-arsed costume, think again.)

Right, she's inspired us. This year, we're starting NOW*. With two weeks to go until the big day, we've got plenty of time to decide on a costume, buy the appropriate bits and glue-gun it all together. Using Heidi for inspiration, we've put together a list of the top rules to follow when crafting the best Halloween outfit of all time ever and you'll find them in the gallery above...

*We're totally aware this is all a pipe dream. Give us a call on the 30th when you're 100% costume-free and we'll go and brave the queue for the local fancy-dress shop together.
