Would you be a high street bride? H&M's first wedding dress
A wedding dress for many will be the most expensive item you will ever buy - Kim Kardashian's Vera Wang number cost more than your average car. But for any thrifty brides out there H&M have created their first ever wedding dress, which has a humble price tag of £59.99.
The white strapless dress has floral beaded embellishement at the neckline, a gathered waist and pleated skirt. H&M state that Hollywood in the 30s is the idea behind the dress. For any brides on the hunt for a bargain, it will launch in stores this March. But how much do you think you should spend on a wedding dress? Would you be happy to wear high street on your big day and save your budget for a pair of Jimmy Choos or an blow out honeymoon?
Of course it's not the first time a high street chain has had a go at wedding gowns. You may remember that Richard Nicoll designed a collection of wedding dresses for Topshop. He said at the time: 'I loved the idea of doing wedding dresses with Topshop because I wanted to offer a younger, cooler alternative to meringue culture, something special, but not precious, like my friends, something they would wear if they were getting married.'
