Fendi's Peekaboo bag is one of the chicest totes on the block. In celebration of the opening of Fendi's new flagship store on Bond Street, the luxury label has collaborated with inspirational women to create one-of-a-kind Peekaboo designs. Each bag will be auctioned off online from today (1 May) with the proceeds going to Kids Company charity.
These bespoke bags are worth bidding for, as they are designed by Gwyneth Paltrow, Tracy Emin, Adele, Naomie Harris, Zaha Hadid, Jerry Hall, Georgia May Jagger, Kate Adie and Cara Delevingne. We went down to 141 Bond Street to take a look around the new store and get a closer look at the Gwyneth tote. Yes, it was love at first sight.

Named after the childhood game, the Peekaboo is designed with a contrasting interior to exterior so, when the bag is unfastened, a glimpse of the interior ‘peeks’ out. Cara Delevingne, the face of Fendi, created a comic book Peekaboo. Her tote celebrates superwoman, and is in white leather with 'Super' in blue and 'Woman' in green. To any potential bidders out there, everyone will know you're carrying a Cara original as her signature is down both sides of the bag.
As you'd expect, Gwyneth's design is more classic - in an elegant white croc with white leather interior. Adele's Peekaboo is the most playful of all with eyelashes around the zip. Actress Naomie Harris' Peekaboo is in off-white leather, with the image of the map of Africa in black and white in vertical stripes. It features 3D butterflies and the words 'TRUTH - LOVE - FREEDOM' on the inside.

Camila Batmanghelidjh, founder and director of Kids Company, told Grazia: ‘For most children, their mother’s bag is a treasure trove full of good and fun things. For traumatised children, their mother’s bag can be a source of horror and despair. Our friends at Fendi and our supporters have come together to create wonderful bags – the sale of which will generate money and help restore dignity to a child.'
She added: 'It means a great deal to the staff and children of Kids Company to know that complete strangers care and want to help. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.’ And Silvia Venturini Fendi says, ‘I always feel close to the associations that take care of children, as it’s in childhood that we develop our creativity and dreams.’
