'I've got this snake print dress for dinner and drinks with friends in mind. The midi hem-length makes it suitable for the office and just adding a heel will vamp it up for the evening. I love shirt dresses, but generally I wear them more casually. But the sheer panel top and glittery fabric of this Cos dress makes this ideal for the evening and perfect for the work Christmas party. Finally I’ll throw on this Whistles sequinned top with a pair of boyfriend jeans and pointed courts for drinks with my friends. It will add a bit of Christmas sparkle without me looking like a Christmas tree!'

'What could be better for a Christmas cocktail party than a pair or cocktail printed trousers? To make them less in your face I’ll be wearing them with a cashmere jumper.'

'I plan on wearing a lot of head to toe coloured suits, but instead of the usual bow tie and shirt I will be teaming mine with a fine wool roll neck so I can leave the coat at home. The look will be topped off with a sturdy brogue.'

'It seems like everyone is going to a Gatsby themed party this Christmas and I’m super excited to whip out the tassels for mine. Miss Selfridge have come up with a gorgeous collection of 20s flapper dresses inspired by actual vintage finds and I’m going for a red colour way to give it a Christmas flavour.'

'At Christmas I basically just want to look like a princess. This requires embellishment, swishy skirts and possibly red velvet (these are suede but totally fab). It’s definitely not my normal look but I can’t resist a ‘party party’ dress at this time of year. I also rather enjoy the kitsch of the stars and the Charlotte Olympia purse.'
