After a fabulous launch party, Gladrags and Handbags, Grazia's annual sample sale in association with Kids Company is finally open to the public. We scoped out some of the gorgeous designer bargains on offer last night, and let us assure you; this is one sale you don't want to miss!
At the party there was lots of oohing and aahing over the kids clothes which came courtesy of Stella McCartney and BonPoint. The accessories room was also a major hit with shoppers-GRAZIA's Fashion News And Features Editor Katherine Ormerod nearly did a runner with another shopper's Prada bag she'd mistaken for an item on sale. Luckily she found a gorgeous Isabel Marant peasant top to hide her shame in!
There were some really beautiful speeches from model-turned-chef Sophie Dahl, founder of Kids Company Camila Batmanghelidjh and GRAZIA's editor Jane Bruton. Sophie later tweeted, "I was v nervous, but worship the work of Kids Co." All money spent at the sale goes directly to helping the disadvantaged kids supported by Kids Company during Christmas. And the charity ethos was definitely in full flow last night, with very little elbowing to be seen. Instead shoppers sipped champagne and got chummy comparing purchases.
The sale's open today until 6PM and tomorrow from 10AM to 6PM at 15 Welbeck Street, London, W1. If you fancy heading down to pick up some bargains for yourself, entry is free! Take a peek at our gallery to see the best bits we picked up last night.
