Phewf! What a lot of excitement.
You may have heard a little thing called the World Cup Final happened tonight with Germany beating Argentina during a nail-biting match. As much as we loved watching the football action - not to mention the resulting social media antics - there was one bonus for us fashion lovers. Hello Gisele Bundchen!

Brazil's biggest babe, a beacon of supermodel gloss amid those polyester shirts, was chosen to represent her home country and escort the trophy to the Maracaña Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. Although we'd hoped to see Ms B present it directly to the winning team, Gisele was a no-show during the Germans' crowning moment. Instead, she avoided the hysteria and unveiled the coveted gold statuette minutes before the match began, when the 78,000 spectators were somewhat more subdued, alongside former Spanish player Carles Puyol.
The trophy emerged from a supremely chic case, which was custom-made by Louis Vuitton. The trunk is covered with the uber-luxe brand's iconic logo, meaning those boys in shorts were basically playing for this season's 'It' bag too. But it wasn't just the trophy that was encased in LV - Gisele was too! She looked gorgeously summery in a turquoise mini-dress covered in a coral-esque pattern from Louis Vuitton's 2015 Cruise collection nipped in with a silver belt and topped off with geometric heels from the the same collection.
Gisele certainly didn't take the task lightly. 'It's a great honour to represent my country and the people of Brazil,' she trilled on Instagram yesterday along with a snap of looking as leggy as ever, posing in a pair of black leather trousers alongside the trophy. 'It's beautiful to see how sport has the power to bring the world together. I'm so grateful to be part of this moment. Thank you all Brazilians who have welcomed the world with all their joy and loving spirit.'
Lucky for us, the Brazilian supermodel - who's also a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador - documented every beautifully bronzed step as she escourted the trophy to the stadium. She shared a photo of her glossy beauty look, including that signature blonde mane, as well as a sneak preview of her fab outfit. Nicely done, Gisele. Talk about a beautiful game, eh?
