EXCLUSIVE: Giles Deacon Is Dating 'Game of Thrones' Actress Gwendoline Christie!

Giles Deacon partying with Gwendoline Christie in February 2013

Heads up: there's a fabulous new couple on the fashwan scene! A little (love) bird has told us that Giles Deacon has a new lady in his life, one Gwendoline Christie. Grazia has learned that the pair have been on several dates since New Year's Eve four months ago. Giles and Gwen stepped out together at an event in February when they larked about with Giles' fellow designer pals, Jonathan Saunders and Henry Holland [above]. Needless to say, Team Grazia has got wedding hats at the ready.

For the uninitiated amongst you, it's time to get to know the gorgeous Gwendoline. She trained as a semi-professional gymnast before taking up acting and counts Simon Callow as a mentor. Her androgynous looks have drawn comparisons with Tilda Swinton and at over 6ft tall with a shock of platinum blonde hair cut into a sleek crop, this is one striking lady.

In fact, we've learned that photographer Polly Borland became so intrigued by her stature that she made Gwendoline the subject of a series of photographs in 1998, for which she posed mostly naked. Yep, she's quite the catch!

The actress also appeared alongside Heath Ledger and James Franco in Terry Gilliam's 2009 film 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus', but is most famous for her role in 'Game of Thrones' - aka: the hottest show on telly right now. Yes, it was back in July 2011 that the actress landed the role of warrior Brienne of Tarth in the second season of HBO's fantasy series.

As we reported earlier this month, 'Game of Thrones' has had a profound impact on the world of fashion. Not only has the Known World of Westeros and Essos inspired a host of catwalk collections - from Rodarte to Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy - but the young (and predominantly Brit) cast have already begun to storm their way on to fashion spreads and red carpets. So does this mean we'll see some GoT-inspired gowns hitting Giles' catwalk next season? If you take the designer's recent Autumn Winter 2013 collection, it wouldn't be far off. Watch this space, folks...
