Gemma Arterton might have kept a low-profile in 2012, but she reemerged as the hostess with the mostess at the British Fashion Awards this week. The Brit beauty presented the ceremony alongside Nick Grimshaw and looked ravishing in one of many Stella McCartney looks that graced the red carpet on Tuesday evening. She showcased her new red-hued hair do in a gorgeously chic tuxedo jumpsuit from the designer's Evening 2012 collection topped off with silver hologram wedges. 'Stella's designs are a failsafe for me because they suit my curves,' Gemma told us. 'Comfort is often a big factor in deciding what to wear to a red carpet event. I used to find it scary but now it's fun to dress up and try something more experimental.'

Speaking of being a maverick on the red carpet, Gemma reveals that there's one star who's inspiring her style. 'I know it's been talked about a lot but I think Kristen Stewart is dressing so well at the moment. I love her attitude when she's on the red carpet. She's like [scowls] "this is it". She's the best at the moment in my opinion.' And what about Gemma's film role alongside Kylie Minogue? 'I can't talk about it!' she trilled. 'But I can say that she always looks fabulous. She's got a great body.'

Gemma also dished on her highlight of the year. 'The Opening Ceremony at the Olympics was amazing. I was asked to be a part of it as Mary Poppins but I was filming Runner Runner in Puerto Rico and they wouldn't let me go, so I watched it from my hotel room. I cried my eyes out and it made me so proud to be British.' Hear, hear!
