We spent our Saturday night backstage at the House of Holland show (always the funnest show on the London Fashion Week schedule), where we bumped into the lovely Kelly Osbourne who was on Fashion Police duties, dispatched by Joan Rivers. We took a quick break from fan-girling over the 'Rich Bitch' bombers, to talk to Kelly about the collection.
Kelly said to Grazia Daily: 'I am always so excited to see Henry’s show, we have been friends for years and years and just seeing how he started off designing t shirts and the collection gets better and better and better. Now he’s introducing bags and they are AMAZING. Not only just to be his friend, but to see him grow as a designer is an incredible thing. This is just the most insane collection ever – really.'
Kelly was wearing a House of Holland white leather jacket from his last collection, going matchy matchy with Henners. This wasn't exactly an accident as Kelly told us: 'Me and Henry have matching jackets today – pre-planned!' So what will she be wearing from the AW14 collection?
Kelly said: 'There is an orange dress with black bits on it that I really really love. There’s one – look 32 – it’s a hand-stiched sequin tunic and it’s unbelievable. It took ten people three weeks to make.' But Kelly says she couldn't quite pull that off as she said: 'You know, I have an appreciation of fashion in the way that even if I know that it won’t look good on my body, I still like it. It wouldn’t look good on me at all, I don’t have the right physique, but there is a bomber jacket that I’m going to take.'
Of course she's talking about the quilted 'Rich Bitch' bombers. Kels squeeled: 'I love it! I don’t know where I would have the balls to wear it but I still want it. It’s a bit obnoxious wearing a jacket with rich bitch on it, but you know, I am obnoxious.’
On the front row we also chatted to FROW darling Harley Viera Newton who, despite just flying into the UK, looked beautiful in a House of Holland 'Golly Gosh' collar dress. Does it take a lot of planning for her to look so darn perfect? Nope! Harley said: 'No, not at all!! I just landed and chose this.' We can expect to see a lot of this New Yorker over the next few days, but she said: 'I try to keep shows to a minimum of friends or people who I am genuinely fans of or I work with – so pick and choose and balance.'
On our way out we bumped into our two fave FROW-ers Daisy Lowe and Derek Blasberg, who dished on how they survive fashion week. For Daisy it's 'being surrounded by such fun people, like Mr Derek Blasberg.' Oh and water is important too she adds. Derek said that it is Daisy who keeps him going, as 'she is my favourite flower. My favourite flower of all. No I'm serious, when I was younger daisies were my favourite.' Daisy then got a call about going to a Prince gig tonight, so of course had to dash to take her Prince 911.
