Anna Wintour Leads The Fash Pack On Forbes' 100 Most Powerful Women List

The Forbes 100 Most Powerful Women list has been released and although the CEOs, first ladies and world leaders take the top spots (natch), there are a number of fashion figures who have also made the cut.

Anna Wintour is the most powerful of the fash pack (well, duh), coming in at number 39. The Vogue editor is not only the top lady at Condé Nast (she was appointed artistic director last year) - she also raised huge sums for the MET museum and worked with President Obama on his re-election campaign.

Designers Diane von Furstenberg (68), Miuccia Prada (75) and Tory Burch (79) also rule the fashion world thanks to their powerful empires. The inventor of Spanx and the youngest ever self-made female billionaire, Sara Blakely, comes in at number 93.

Turns out Beyonce really does run the world, as at number 17, she is the only woman from the entertainment industry to make the top 20. The world's highest paid model Gisele Bündchen is the only model to feature this year thanks to her eye-wattering pay packet. Forbes estimates that she went home with $42 million last year. Gulp. As well as Chanel and H&M campaigns, the Brazillian model also is a UN goodwill ambassador and has her own flip flop brand Ipanemas.
