The stars have been getting seriously into the Halloween spirit this year, and we've spotted nearly 100 awe-inspiring costumes! Heidi Klum plays an old lady, Rihanna painted herself grey, Kelly Osbourne drenched herself in blood and Kate Moss played dead. All in all, some seriously impressive stuff! (Check out this year's best costumes here.) But it wouldn't be a Friday without some #Flashback. In honour of all things Hallows' Eve, we've rounded up some of the best costumes of years gone by to help lend some inspiration for the Halloweening that is surely still to come over the weekend.
Alexa Chung went goth back in 2008 donning a Victorian inspired dress, white face and hair. The TV presenter and model is evidently a fan of the season, also joining forces with homie Agyness Dean to bring cult classic Wayne's World back to life with their plaid, denim and leather ensembles, complete with snapback and bed head hair (talk about a 90's revival!)
Evidently latex was, is and will always be a top choice for Halloween seekers, after all, when else is it socially acceptable - or feasible, at that - to pour your body into a skin tight onesie? We personally much prefer rocking the slouchy ones we wear for our X Factor nights, BUT if we looked like Ciara, Doutzen Kroes or Kim Kardashian in one, best believe we'd never take it off. The trio channelled The X Men and Catwoman, respectively.
But none do it quite as well as Heidi Klum who each and every year raises the bar with her ridiculously awesome outfits - HOW DOES SHE DO IT?! You'll never catch the supermodel in a hastily pulled-together number come the 31st, as she toldearlier this month: 'I start thinking of ideas months before Halloween, and I have an amazing team who makes the impossible possible... It takes months of preparation.' This supermodel has turned herself inside out (literally!), adorned herself in blue with a multitude of extra arms as an Indian goddess, gone all Transformers on us and even roped in ex husband Seal for some Planet Of The Apes worthy costumes. One thing's for sure, you can't accuse Heidi of doing things by halves. All hail the costume Queen.
