Last night London was treated to a visit from King Karl himself alongside his partner in crime Silvia Venturini Fendi to celebrate the opening of Fendi’s new Bond Street store and the Italian luxury label’s Peekaboo project in collaboration with London and Bristol based charity Kids Company.

The beautiful store set across three floors comes complete with a stunning chandelier created from thousands of Murano glass shards with a broad spiral staircase leading up to the grandiose, parquet floored second floor. Downstairs the Baguette Wall, made of 30,00 bronze spikes showcase’s the House’s signature shoulder bag.

Adding even more glitz to this gorgeous retail experience, last night Karl Lagerfeld came to town to officially open the party with a glittering list including Cara Delevingne, Lily Allen and Suki Waterhouse. Dressed in a host of the brand’s catwalk looks, the guests sipped champagne and snacked on delicious micro canapés.

But it was Monsieur Lagerfeld that was the star of the show and in a departure from his usual disdain for selfies (which he recently termed ‘electronic masturbation’) he spent the evening snapping pictures of himself enjoying the soiree with Cara et al. As for the younger Delevingne, the evening saw her once more sporting a tummy baring top, posing beside her BFF Suki and sister Poppy.
