It's Tuesday and that can only mean one thing: the latest episode of 'The Face' hit our telly boxes last night. We've got a sneak peek at the episode (the semi-final can you believe?!), which sees Naomi Campbell, Caroline Winberg and Erin O'Connor heading to Paris with their girls to work with top fashion brand Longchamp. But most excitingly, Naomi has just dropped off her latest blog to give her point of view on the nail biting installment...
Dear Grazia Daily Readers,
It's the semi-final! With only seven girls left, it's anyone's game. As we enter the penultimate episode the score stands at Team Erin (who have yet to win a challenge) with three girls and Team Caroline and Team Naomi with two girls each. I'm really feeling the nerves now for my girls Raquel and Emma as I know it's crunch time.
This week we are on location in Paris, working with top fashion brand Longchamp. After weeks of holding our girls' hands and working in teams, we have to let them start experiencing the reality of this industry for themselves.
Their first challenge is a casting call, unfortunately, one of the girls doesn't make it through this preliminary stage and heads straight back home - it's harsh, but this is what real casting sessions are like.
The girls then go on to their first solo shoot, modelling Longchamp handbags. Each model chooses their prop for the shoot - either a dog or a bike - without the help of their mentors. Let's just say some of the girls regret their decision! The mentors are allowed on set to offer a bit of guidance during the shoot and it is interesting to see which girls excel on their own.
There are some tough choices ahead for the mentors. The girl who wins the Longchamp campaign automatically goes through to the final, the three mentors then have to choose one girl to go through to the final - which means sending one of their own packing. Talk about Sophie's Choice.
As the final draws closer, the competition becomes much more intense. With a career-changing prize up for the grabs, you see a new side emerge from our girls.
And with watch out - this episode has a twist!
Don't miss the drama, tonight at 9pm on Sky Living, or watch again on Sky On Demand.
Love and light,
