The Duchess of Cambridge has certainly dressed to impress as she tours New Zealand and Australia, taking traditional protocol one sartorial step further with a politically perfect wardrobe - and today might be her best look yet. As Kate and Wills did the rounds on Good Friday, she looked spring-appropriate and truly festive in a white broderie anglaise frock topped off with a pair of nude wedges.

As the Easter weekend celebrations get under way, the royal couple first witnessed a shearing demonstration at the Royal Easter Show in Olympic Park and got friendly with one of the rams at the show named Fred. Then it was onto Bear Cottage in Manly, a hospice care centre that specialises in the treatment of children with life-limiting conditions. It was here that the DoC gave a short speech [watch a snippet below]. From Bear Cottage, it was time to hit the beach where the duo watched volunteer lifeguards demonstrate their life-saving skills, Baywatch stylee.
Throughout the day, Kate looked as fresh as a daisy in the floral pattern dress, fittingly by Australian brand Zimmermann. This is the first Australian designer she's worn since arriving Down Under, FYI. The Roamer Day Dress, worn by Naomi Watts last month, features a round neck with no collar, elbow-length sleeves and an exposed zipper. We love, love, LOVE! The brand is run by Aussie sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann who, just last week, received the Australian Fashion Laureate award as part of Australia Fashion Week.

Copy Kates and fashion bunnies alike will be eager to emulate the Duchess' Easter chic style so it's no surprise to hear the Zimmermann website crashed within minutes under the fashion frenzy. But - quelle horreur! - the dress does not hit stores until June when it will retail for AUD$495 or £275... although something tells us the company might be nudging the release date a little earlier - and by 'something', we obviously mean The Kate Effect.
Calling all Copy Kates!
On the accessories front, the Duchess topped off her look with a pair of diamond earrings, LK Bennett's Natalie handbag and her camel-coloured wedges by Stuart Weitzman, which - ever the trooper - she kept on for trotting across the sand.
