To celebrate the Queen’s official birthday today, Kate Middleton joined her Majesty at the Trooping The Colour ceremony at Horse Guard's Parade. The Duchess of Cambridge, who is eight-months-pregnant, arrived in a carriage with Prince Harry and Camilla in the early morning sunshine. So what did Kate wear?
Well, the Duchess chose one of her favourite Brit designers Alexander McQueen for the appearance that is believed to be the last official appearance before the birth of her child this summer. The gorgeous coat was custom designed by Sarah Burton, the lady responsible for her now iconic wedding dress. The pastel pink creation features a wide collar, side darting, three-quarter sleeves and oversized pearl buttons. Does the super-feminine hue hint at the gender of her baby?
You may recognise Kate’s hat as the piece by milliner Jane Corbett that she wore to the Queen’s Buckingham Palace Garden party last year. She also accessorised with a grey McQueen clutch and Annoushka pearl earrings.
