We here at Grazia could write doctorates on the academic subject of red carpet dressing. The choice of gown plus shoe divided by hair-dids and multiplied tenfold by jewels is one of our favourite equations to dissect. It makes sense that A-list designers are doing the same thing - such analysis has even inspired an entire capsule range designed by a fashion dream-team, Antonio Berardi and Rupert Sanderson that launches exclusively on Net-a-Porter today!
Gwynnie has inspired many a style collaboration - usually for her own brand Goop - with designers like Stella McCartney and Michael Kors. Back in 2008 her winning combo of an Antonio Berardi gown and Rupert Sanderson booties (see below) inspired an accessory range that has come to beautiful fruition. No wonder they were so inspired when they saw this pic - Gwyneth's pairing is perfectly sexy and cool with each piece complimenting the other very happily.
The collaboration features a set of 3 eveningwear shoes - a heady mix of embroidery, crystal baguettes, PVC and brass chains - made especially to compliment Berardi's aesthetic. The two designers work perfectly together with their penchants for simplicity of line and silhouette. There couldn't be a better time to shop for a party shoe!
Pairs are an extra special treat at prices ranging between £700 - £1600.
It seems that Net-a-Porter are going to keep pulling these fabulous collaborations out of the bag. With the Peter Pilotto for Target range coming to UK computers in Feb we have a lot to thank the online fashion emporium for, not least these bejewelled beauties. We know what we'll be writing to Santa for!
