Donna Air has been a busy woman of late. Aside from stepping out as James Middleton's chic plus one at last night's Serpentine Summer Party, she also added some serious glamour to the opening of Zatchel's shiny new Bicester Village store yesterday. GraziaDaily took the chance to ask the flaxen haired beauty about her handbag collection and summer plans....

GraziaDaily: Why did you want to get involved with the Zatchels brand?
Donna Air: I think they are an amazing brand – it’s incredible how young and successful the company is. They’ve really tapped into something which is such a brilliant product – I mean their bags are such hot property right now. And of course you get the great quality with a great price point. I get really excited about new labels so I was really pleased to be involved with them.
GraziaDaily: Do you ever shop at Bicester Village? If so what are your favourite stores?
Donna Air: The British Designer Collective pop up is my favourite store– oh my God, it’s gorgeous! Bicester is brilliant – you feel that instant calm as soon as you arrive, it’s much more relaxed than in shopping in town. And obviously there’s the great prices. Luckily enough I’ve had the opportunity to be there for events before but after yesterday I thought that I really need to make some proper time to shop. I think I could have some done some serious damage.

GraziaDaily: What have you got in your handbag right now?
Donna Air: My bag is bright green and by Kate Spade and is absolutely full! I’ve got a bag of accessories in there because I’m styling a shoot for a magazine today. I’ve also got a whole load of safety pins and an iPad charger – all practical. Then I’ve got some probiotics, Nurofen, and a banana. Finally I've got a pad with my 'Do Not Forget' list written out, a pair of sunglases, and a credit card. All very glam!
GraziaDaily: How many handbags would we find in your wardrobe?
Donna Air: I’ve got a lot of handbags actually, but I’ve got three god-daughters, two step-daughters, a sister and my own daughter – and my PA, so there are a lot of women in my life to give things away to. But Ive still got a lot of bags in my wardrobe.

GraziaDaily: What are your summer holiday plans? Are you an efficient packer and if so do you have any tips?
I’m off to The Bahamas – it’s such a fabulous, colourful place and perfect for a family holiday. I’m quite good at packing actually - when you have kids you get efficient. I start to put everything in a pile 4 or 5 days before – I definitely wouldn’t leave it until the last minute. Then 2 days before I edit the pile and try and halve it.
GraziaDaily: What would we find in your desert island fashion suitcase?
Donna Air: I’ve got a pair of pale blue jeans that I love and some moccasin shoes that are very comfortable. I love knitwear too so I’d need a sweater and very good t-shirts - finding the right t-shirt is key and when I find one I buy one in every colour. And good underwear – I'm really, really particular about underwear - you have to have clean lines as a foundation!
